The Warrior and the Weaver

An evening with the healer's myth, and the two forces that shape how we lead, heal, and serve

A free one-hour online gathering
Wednesday 7 October @ 7-8pm BST, on Zoom

Every guide carries two forces within them. One is the warrior: the part of us that stands firm and creates for what matters, having learned early how to be strong, even in the face of our wounding. The other is the weaver: the part of us that gathers the threads, sees the larger pattern, and knows how to hold what has been broken until something whole can be made from it.

For many healers, leaders, and teachers, these two forces have been at odds for a long time. We may have learned to lead from behind the armour and forgotten the loom, or we may hold everyone else's threads so faithfully that our own are left unwoven. Somewhere within that split lives the wound that keepsĀ calling to be met.

Within this free event, we'll return to one of the oldest stories of the wounded healer: Chiron, the centaur who could heal everyone but himself, and Chariklo, the weaver of wisdom and fate. Their story is of union, of two distinct forces meeting in a completion neither could find alone. It holds something essential for anyone called to guide others through their own becoming.

What to Expect

This is an hour to slow down, listen, and receive. I'll share the myth and the teachings it carries, guide you through a short reflective practice, and leave space for you to sense where the warrior and the weaver are living in you right now. You'll leave with a fresh lens on your own wound, and a felt sense of how it may already be shaping the guide you are becoming.

What We'll Explore

  • The myth of Chiron and Chariklo, and why the wounded healer's story still speaks to those who serve
  • The warrior and the weaver as inner forces, and how each one protects, creates, and sometimes overrides the other
  • How the split between them shows up in the way you lead, heal, and hold space
  • The wound as a threshold rather than a flaw, and what it may be asking of you now
  • A short guided practice to meet both forces and invite them into alignment

Who This Is For

This evening is for healers, leaders, and teachers, and for anyone standing at a threshold in their work who senses that the next step is asking for something more integrated, more whole, and more their own. Whether you have walked this path for many years or are only beginning to feel its pull, you are welcome here.

Save Your Place

If something in you stirs as you read this, I would love to have you there. The evening is free, and all you need toĀ have is yourself, a space where you won't be disturbed, and perhaps a journal for whatever wants to be remembered.Ā

A recording will be sent out shortly after we finish, to all that register for the event.

A small note: Within our time together, I'll take a few moments to share about Leading from Within: From Wound to Wisdom to World, my seven-week live container beginning Wednesday 14 October. If you feel called to go deeper, you'll hear how. If not, simply receive the evening as it is.

"I always enjoy working with Jennifer. She brings clarity and insight wrapped in fun and compassion, (to mention but two gifts she brings), but will challenge things that need challenged and be direct. I am very glad to have had the opportunity to work with her over the years, and would recommend her to anyone who feels lost and in need of guidance." -SM
