THE LONGEST NIGHT
A Winter Solstice ceremony for seeing in the dark
Live online | Monday 21 December | 7:30–9pm GMT | Recording available
On the longest night of the year, the sun seems to stand still - that is what the word solstice means. Within that moment of stillness, something then becomes ready to turn. And we remember that the light is returning, you don’t have to chase it.
So much of this season pulls us forward, into plans and resolutions and the brightness of what might come next. But the dark has its own intelligence. It is where the Autumn season completes itself, where what has ended can be honoured and laid down. With less light reaching us from outside, it is also where we begin to see what we Know, and what we Trust.
This is an invitation to linger at the threshold - to rest in the dark rather than hurrying through it, to explore what lives there, deepen into it, and return to yourself before the promise of Spring activates within you.
The Evening
We'll open with a teaching on the longest night as an initiation: why the dark matters, and what becomes possible when we stop pushing, rushing toward the light. From there, a guided meditation and healing takes us down into the dark to rest, to listen, and to receive what is waiting there. We close by turning together toward the light as it starts its return.
The solstice arrives at 8:50pm GMT. We will still be in circle when it happens, gathered in the dark at the exact moment the season turns.
How to Prepare
Make a small, quiet space for yourself. Light a candle, place a crystal, card, picture, or something meaningful nearby, and keep a pen close. Let it be an altar to the year that has carried you here.
In the days before we gather, notice what feels complete. What has this season asked of you, and what are you ready to lay down? You don’t need answers, only a willingness to look.

What People Are Saying
“I’m in awe and feel blessed by tonight’s session. So much I could say, what you gave us and spoke reflected many things that have come up for me very recently, even down to words, phrases and ideas that I’ve received in the last few days. This is a perfect time for the new.”
“So great to watch on catch up yesterday and loved the meditation. Thanks as always for your time, expertise and passion during all of your calls!”
