Why I'm Done with "Charisma"

As we approach the end of Leo Season, much of its shadow side has been creeping into our thoughts, behaviours, and points of view. Over the past few weeks especially, I’ve noticed a recurring theme in conversations: I’m done with "charisma". Give me Authenticity - any day, every day.

For decades, I’ve listened to people gush over another’s charisma - the way they shine, the way they persuade, the way they dazzle. And then I’ve watched them fall from their pedestals when discrepancies surface, when failures emerge, when the mask slips.

Their projected charisma, so often, has been just that - a mask.

In its truest form, Charisma is a virtue. When it flows from the heart, it inspires, uplifts, and serves. But when it strays from virtue, it manipulates, seduces, and deceives.

We live in a world that is flashy, filtered, and increasingly AI-generated. It’s easy to be seduced into believing we must be polished and perfect, without flaw, without stumble. But deep down, we all know that isn’t real, or True.

I sense that we are beginning to swing back from the extremes - away from false identities and incomplete stories. What truly inspires is rarely just the highlight reel. It is the devotion, the discipline, the unglamorous moments of growth and evolution. People are hungry for whole and complete stories. For whole and complete people. To follow, to be inspired by, to co-create with.

Leo, at its essence, represents the heart - authenticity, dignity, grace. When we disconnect from love and truth, we lose ourselves. We warp into something unreal, and in that distortion, we allow ourselves to be deceived by others doing the same.

This post isn’t meant to shame anyone into changing. My hope is simply to shine a light - on where you may have been seduced by empty promises, and how you might return to your heart, to remember who you are, to let your true light shine through, just like the Sun.

We often speak about wanting to cut through the noise. But adding to the noise doesn’t do that, it just amplifies the chaos. What cuts through is one clear voice, one honest message, one heartfelt request, one decisive declaration. And finding that clarity is easier than you think.

It simply requires a return home - to heart, to soul, to integrity. From that place, it becomes harder to lie, to wear a mask, to play a part. From that place, it becomes harder to be deceived. Within the heart is where we are meant to choose from, to love from, to create from.

As we move toward the end of Leo Season (the 22nd), I invite you to meditate on these questions:

• If I truly chose to honour myself and those around me, what would change in my expression, the way I hold myself, the way I approach the world?

• When I live from my centre, in true alignment, what will I need to choose differently? How will my journey shift?

• If I dropped the masks - the pretense, the pressure to please or perform - who would I become?

• Instead of being seduced by fantasy or the unreal, what would it take for me to create a reality rooted in love and truth? What untruths am I willing to release for this?

Your heart can open more. Your capacity to witness love can expand exponentially. Your ability to live aligned with truth is already within you. So, how can you take your next step today?
