Eclipse Medicine: Moving Beyond Either/Or

Uncategorized Sep 03, 2025

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the same conversation, again and again.
So many of us are angry, frustrated, fed up, tired of seeing the same old patterns replayed, the same mistreatment, the same reactions, looping endlessly. And the question keeps arising: What do I do with all of this emotion? Here’s what I’ve noticed: so much of our suffering comes from the mind’s misunderstanding.

The mind loves an either/or.
If you feel like a victim, the mind says: stay small, or fight back and make someone else the victim.
If you feel disempowered, the mind says: stay in fear, or inflate yourself until you’re intimidating.

But this swinging between polarities doesn’t heal anything. It’s movement, sure, but not growth. Temporary relief, but no resolution. The mind defaults to what it’s already known: conditioning, half-truths, fractured stories. Incomplete. So here’s another option: the way of the intuitive soul.

Where the mind sees only black and white, intuition perceives a whole spectrum.
Where the mind clips bits of information, intuition feels the textures, colours, tones, and subtleties of wisdom.
Where the mind insists on limits, intuition shows there’s more here than you’ve imagined.

Take a moment. Call up a place in your life where you feel frozen in fear or tangled in confusion. Notice the weight there - the judgement, the rigidity. That’s your mind, trying to run the show.

Now soften. Expand the frame. Imagine more details, more context, a wider field of possibility. That’s your intuition speaking. That’s imagination showing you another way through.

And this eclipse, this celestial reset, will invite you deeper into that intuitive space, into your creativity, your imagination, your healing gifts. It’s an invitation to open what’s been closed. To express what’s been hidden, to let your system unclench, like warm bath water easing your muscles, realigning your spine, dissolving the static. When the mind grows quiet, intuition feels louder, though really, it’s simply that you’re finally listening.

And it’s easier than you think.

Your thoughts are not always true.
Your mind can be unimaginative.
But you are more than your mind.

You are energy. You are divine. You transcend space and time. You are a creator.

So I’ll ask you: When did you stop trusting your intuition? When did you let the smallness of the mind lead instead of the vastness of your soul?

As we approach this eclipse, here are some questions to meditate on:

  • Where am I stuck in an “either/or”? What other possibilities exist?

  • Where am I over-correcting, swinging from one extreme to another?

  • If I allowed more creativity, what doors might open?

  • If I expanded into my intuition, what could shift for me today?

Your anger is a messenger. It reveals where you believe yourself to be powerless. Your intuition is the guide. It will remind you of your strength, your dignity, your creativity. What new truth about yourself will you allow intuition to reveal?

Sending you blessings for clear insight, and the kind of peace that heals.
