The necessary Pause Point, before you begin

Just before eclipse season begins, I have a pause point built in. On Thursday we leave for five days in southern France: time with wonderful friends, books on the beach, food worth lingering over, and the adventure of being somewhere different. We weren't thinking of the eclipses when we booked, but of course, the timing has turned out to be perfect.

As someone who consciously works with the eclipse cycles, here's what I'll be doing, and deliberately not doing, over the coming week, and why.

The benefit of a pause

Momentum can be seductive - full schedule, a familiar rhythm, patterns of living that carry you forward without asking much of you. When those patterns are healthy and directionally true, they serve. But when they've begun to skew, even by a degree, momentum becomes the problem. You travel faster in the wrong direction, and then correction tends to turned slowly, with effort.

A disruption interrupts that. A pause lets you check in before the correction becomes costly. You can ask: do I have the tools, the time, the resources for the period ahead? You can set down the excess, the distractions, the drains on focus and energy. You can fine-tune, so there is more grace in your movement and your choices.

Neutral is necessary

I've spoken before about Osho's translations of Shiva's teachings in The Book of Secrets, and this truth within them: neutral is necessary. We love the feeling of force carrying us forward. But you cannot change gears without passing through neutral first. Every journey requires this point - not once, but throughout - to keep us awake to what is happening and what is coming.

In neutral, there is a moment of inner stillness, with less noise, static, and pull on your attention. And in that stillness you can actually listen as the intuitive information that was always present becomes audible. You assess with a more complete picture. You choose from clarity instead of habit. Better information makes better choices - it really can be that simple.

And once the picture is clear, you can redirect your energy toward what is worthy of you. Toward the consequences you truly desire, not the ones you've been defaulting into.

The portal ahead

The approaching eclipse portal opens space and time for greater progress, deeper healing, and as much of the magical and miraculous as we allow. Taking this week to release and reassess beforehand makes that journey lighter - more enjoyable, effortlessly in flow with the future that's already reaching toward you.

Sending blessings for the week ahead: a meaningful pause, a true release, and a clear mind.

P.S. Eclipse Season begins next week, along with sessions inside the Eclipse Package. If you feel called to begin at the opening of the portal, now is the time to commit - doors will close with the first eclipse on 12 August, or when spaces fill.
