Hello beautiful beings, I hope you are all well! I am currently in the southeast of the USA, recently weathering the storms that moved through the region last week. I was fortunate enough to be in Savannah (tornadoes, wind, and lots of rain), but feel grateful for the land, the city, and the good fortune of being in an area less affected by the storms (and many thanks to Abby and Jenny for looking after me so well!).
Those further north had a very different experience, normally not affected by these coastal storms, but now having to suspend plans, strip back to the basics of life, and simply look after themselves and their neighbours. These storms often remind me of what is necessary and important, a reminder to relinquish what is not needed in the moment.
Our second eclipse of the season, this time a Solar Eclipse in Libra, feels aligned with the storms in many ways. Whenever I meditate on its energy, I am shown the relationship between the Sun and Moon, Masculine and Feminine, and our many complex facets within. We are layered and complex, an alchemy of belief systems, emotions and feelings, perspectives and opinions, choices and behaviours. So many of these may compete or contradict each other. And this is when we feel conflicted, confused, pushed or pulled, and where drama can be created in our lives.
But I don't believe that it has to be this way. As we heal ourselves and our perspectives, as our choices and actions begin to align with our deeper selves, the conflict begins to resolve. As we move deeper into truth, intuition, inner knowing, the storm begins to calm. And as we release the extremes within us, and the need to overcorrect or overreact, our anger dissipates, our frustration calms, and our minds remember the peace that resides within.
Think about how your thoughts and choices could be feeding a storm within you, or within your relationships. And allow yourself to begin to discern what you could address that would both calm the energy within you, and begin to heal your relationships.
This Libra eclipse calls us again to have the courage, not only to weather a storm, but to heal it where it begins. Your relationship dynamics may be highlighting exactly the aspects within you that are calling out for more love, expression, compassion, connection, beauty, and grace. Allow yourself to feel your way towards harmony.
A few things to meditate on over the next few days:
Remember that we cannot control anything outside of us, but we can change the ways in which we respond. When we change our responses, we improve the quality of life that we experience. The storm isn't as big as you think it is.
