Are you feeling trapped within the ways of the Past?

Over the past few weeks, I've written about the Hedonist and the Purist. Time to dive into the mindset of the Conformist.

The Conformist finds comfort in what has already been established, the known path, inside of the comfort zone. They are more likely to lean towards tradition, what is already known or accepted, finding comfort in the past.

Like the other 2 ideologies, there is a time an place to lean into conformity. When we tap into ancient wisdom or practices, we walk the path of wisdom. When we seek a mentor or leader/guide to support, we are tapping into what has been tried and tested, enabling us to hopefully make fewer mistakes or face lesser obstacles along the way.

But here we are in Aquarius season, where conformity is rebelled against, rejected, shunned. At times like this, we are thrown into the kaleidoscope, where the comfortable or predictable are less present or unrecognisable. And so at times like this, there may be less of a place to conform, and more of a call to innovate.

But if we can tap into the lighter aspect of the conformist, we can apply our greatest lessons in life, the oldest and soundest wisdom, and find ways for true resonance to base the foundations upon which we build.

At this time, it might be worth pondering a few questions:

• Am I too deep within my comfort zone, afraid to look up or out at what could be?
• Where am I repeating the patterns of family, culture, society to my detriment? How could I begin to correct my course?
• Am I rejecting any/all aspects of Conformity, in order to feel more free, open, or possibly leaning too far towards the Hedonist or Purist?
• What are the Truths within me that stand the test of time? How can I remember and apply them daily?

Remember that learning from the past is a Virtue, and applying the wisdom makes us better, more complete beings. We can take the best of each of these ideologies, and move into deeper alignment with Soul, creating our own ways to live our Purposes.
