Over the past few months, I have been learning a lot, sometimes gracefully, with an open mind and heart. But also through addressing the more shadowy aspects of my personality - my occasional stubbornness, the mistrust that surfaces when I feel I'm all on my own, the seemingly crushing anxiousness that comes when I feel there are no other options to be found.

Over the past 6 months, I've been pushing for solutions that I have been meditating on for over a year. The asking and openness began to harden into demands. And I realised that my energy changed into anger and blame, because I believed that one option was the only viable way. I felt worn down and exhausted over spending so much time trying to make something happen when I wanted it to.

I finally got to the point that I understood that option A was just a single option, and that there are in fact many others.

There is currently a funny mix in the cosmos: lots of moving cardinal earth in Capricorn, a lot of energy in fixed air Aquarius, and Mercury Retrograde moving the air backwards, and Venus is finishing its retrograde, drawing the heart into the past.  So a fascinating mix of walking forward while your mind loops back into where it gets stuck, with your heart trying to mend old wounds and attempting to re-write stories.  Its weird.  But not bad.  I find that whenever we move into energy that is this disruptive, where one moves against or around another, it can often aid in shifting what we have most stubbornly held.  Amen to liberation!

Hello fire walkers and water bearers!  The Sun is moving into Leo (courage, heart, nobility), and the moon will be full in Aquarius on Saturday (mystical, unpredictable, radical).  What an amazing combination of inner heart, and outer focus!

For many of us, wading through Cancer Season has been difficult in various ways.  Those of us doing big inner work have moved into the depths, learning to breathe under pressure.  We are now starting to see the rays of the sun, brightening the surf and surface, beckoning us into the warmth of Leo.
