Beauty as a Practice

’m having a moment with the current astrological transits, and I wanted to bring a little more awareness to Venus - to art, to beauty, and to that deeply felt sense of home…

Venus is in her home sign of Taurus. She is a benefic planet, carrying with her beauty, ease, feminine flow, grace, comfort, and love. Taurus speaks to home, to the body, to what we reside within, and to what we consciously build for ourselves. And when Venus is at home, we are invited to turn inward, to notice what is ready to be updated, softened, healed, or released - so that we can not only feel lighter and freer, but so that we can feel truly, deeply at home within our own bodies and our own lives.

On some level, this may sound obvious - that of course we should feel at home within ourselves - but you might be surprised by how many people feel like strangers in their own lives, like outsiders within their families, their communities, even within their own skin.

I am fully aware that life is not always sunsh...

It begins with you, and it always has

Uncategorized Apr 01, 2026

As today marks the Full Moon in Libra, I wanted to reach out with a few reflections on relationships, and what it truly takes to grow yourself so that the way you relate is rooted in what you value most.

Everything in your life - everything you touch, experience, influence, and hold dear - is shaped by how you relate to it. Your relationships with people, money, time, your body, your work are all mirrors of perception. The quality of your life is not just what happens, but how you meet it, how you see, and how you respond.

Nothing is being done to you, withheld from you, or imposed upon you in the way it can sometimes feel. These experiences are filtered through your perspective, and ultimately, through your relationship with yourself.

If you don’t trust yourself, it becomes difficult to trust others.
If you doubt your abilities, disappointment follows closely behind.
If you judge yourself, the world can begin to feel harsh and unforgiving.

Your world begins with you.

And perhaps th...

Your capacity to receive is greater than you think

Lately, my meditations have focused on the art of receiving.

Looking back at my life, I can see that receiving has been uncomfortable, sticky at best. I've closed off to compliments, denied gifts, and shut down when I could have expanded.

I think a lot of us do this on different levels. Often, we unconsciously worry that it will create an obligation, that we will owe the other person something. We can believe that we are undeserving of the praise. We can shy away from attention because we're used to hiding.

I was reminded of a moment years ago, when I was part of a speaking event. I was happy to be "on stage," speaking about what I knew. That was the easy part. Later on, I was collecting materials and shrinking down so that I didn't get in anyone's way. A friend shouted out to me, "Jennifer, take up space!" and something clicked. I realised that I was afraid to take up space at the expense of another. The reality is that there is plenty for each of us. I didn't want to be intrusive,...

Final Thoughts before the Equinox

I wanted to reach out briefly before the Equinox, and the dawning of a new season, with an idea to hopefully help you navigate what’s opening -

Imagine that you are waking from a long slumber, one filled with vivid dreams. Some of these things might seem impossible right now. Some may feel strange, slightly otherworldly. But within these subconscious imaginings, there are messages of hope, inspiration, meaningful connection, communion, creation.

As we open our eyes to the light, it can often feel as though the dreams slip away quickly, difficult to recall. In these final hours of Pisces season and winter, I want you to focus on remembering the dreams you conjured as you rested, slept, imagined - untethered to what “reality” is, and more attuned to what it could be.

As we move into Aries season and Spring in the coming hours, that cardinal fire will encourage you to leap ahead quickly, to build momentum.

But it’s important that we don’t rush ahead without the dream to focus on. Runn...

The Untwisting Begins

Who has been feeling it over the past 6 weeks? Exhaustion, brain fog, maybe some irritation or impatience? Maybe you've also had bursts of energy, windows of clarity, inspiration to pivot in some area of your life...

Here’s the news - this is all going to begin to untwist and calm through the weekend. This week, we move through a new moon, the end of winter and mutable water, the beginning of spring, the beginning of Aries season and cardinal fire, and out of Mercury retrograde. It’s all happening. For real.

So not only are we closing out 6 weeks of powerful eclipse movement, but stepping into a new astrological year and natural season. And there will be no planets in retrograde for 7 weeks, meaning everything carries a sense of forward movement - fewer obstacles and distractions, less getting in the way or holding you back. When you look at how it’s all lining up, it’s kind of extraordinary.

So in the spirit of this divine alignment, timing, and forward motion, I want to get you th...

Wrestling with Life - and Learning to Release

control eclipse equinox Mar 13, 2026

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about healing, timing, and the mysterious way things unfold in our lives. Why certain insights arrive when they do. Why something we have wrestled with for months, years, sometimes decades, suddenly loosens its grip.

As we move into the final stretch of eclipse season, and begin the phase of integration, many people are noticing small yet meaningful shifts. Synchronicities appearing where there were none before. Patterns becoming visible. A quiet awareness emerging in places that once felt dense or confusing. It is one of the things I love most about eclipse portals - they rearrange things.

Over the years I have witnessed, again and again, that something people have been pushing against with great effort can suddenly fall into a new alignment. Not because the problem disappeared, but because the relationship to it changed. The pushing softened. The grip loosened. The body exhaled. What once required wrestling begins to respond to allowi

Four Days to the Eclipse: Where Will You Plant Your Energy?

You may know that eclipse season is my favourite time to hold sessions, to teach, and to deepen into my own healing. The messages are often profound, obstacles that once felt immovable begin to shift, and possibilities I hadn’t even considered reveal themselves in the most unexpected and beautiful ways.

As we approach our second eclipse in mutable, earthy Virgo, I want to share a few threads for you to hold in awareness, gently guiding your actions over the coming weeks. The space between eclipses is a time to witness, to pay attention, to recognise what is unfolding within and around you. The weeks that follow are for implementation, for grounded change, for choosing a new course and walking it with devotion. And Virgo, in her quiet wisdom, loves this.

Mutable Earth holds and supports us while also allowing room for adjustment, refinement, and redirection. She invites us to imagine more, to edit what no longer fits, to add to or reshape what we have previously built.

The moment before change often feels the worst

I was listening to a podcast at 3am (I am really feeling this eclipse portal), interviewing Chris Hemsworth about his career. They interview a lot of actors and musicians on Smartless, and he told a story I’ve heard many times before. He said he was just about to give up when he landed his breakthrough role, the one that truly got him started. This story, or one very similar, is repeated far too often to be random. And it isn’t.

Today I wanted to gently explore why we reach that quitting point, that breaking point, and how sometimes that very edge is the turn of the tide.

Human beings often struggle with change. We desperately want a feeling or circumstance to move in another direction, yet when we begin to examine what has caused it, we can subconsciously start to retreat. The abstract becomes real, and we recognise our role in it all. It can feel confronting and uncomfortable, and it asks something of us. So often, we wait until it becomes so painful that we cannot tolerate it stay...

Why cycles repeat, until they don't

Uncategorized Feb 23, 2026

Hello beautiful beings,

We are almost halfway through this eclipse portal, moving from the electric, future-minded pulse of Aquarius into a more grounded - though still quietly changeable - Virgo terrain. One of my favourite aspects of eclipse energy is the way it illuminates the cycles we’ve been spun around in for years, decades, sometimes generations. Suddenly the pattern is no longer invisible. It is highlighted, outlined, almost underlined, so that we can see it clearly enough to choose differently.

Over the years, I’ve listened to clients and students speak with frustration about the habits and dynamics that seem hardest to break. They judge themselves harshly, wondering why it feels so difficult to change something they know is not good for them. There can be shame in that awareness, as if knowledge alone should be enough to create transformation.

So today I want to offer you a pause. A breath. A moment to reflect on what you might be ready to complete within the next few wee...

The deep inhale, before the dive

Tomorrow, we move through the portal of the first eclipse, and I wanted to share a little guidance to help you navigate this moment in time.

I often find that the day before an eclipse feels like a deep inhale. There can be anticipation, curiosity, sometimes a flicker of nervousness. It’s the moment before you dive into new water.

If you’re anything like me, you might dip a few toes in first, testing for a shock. You check how clear the water is, how far you can see, whether it’s calm or choppy. You glance at the sky. You assess the weather. Not because you need control, but because you want to feel prepared for the plunge.

When we spend time before an eclipse meditating, setting intentions, examining our desires, and playing with possibility, this is what we are doing. We are preparing ourselves for an experience that is not entirely controllable - the weather will do what it does, the tides will move as they move - but we ground ourselves in our own ability to navigate what arises...
