The difference between surface progress and soulful growth

Deepening: A Libra New Moon Reflection

Happy Libra New Moon, I hope you're finding more harmony within!

For quite a while, I've been playing with an interesting concept - We often think of Forward in a linear sense, moving ahead, making progress, seeing measurable difference based on getting from point A to point B.

I'd like to propose an alternative: Forward = Deeper.

There are so many people seeking progress in a surface way, through constructs and lenses that lack depth and meaning.

We can measure movement through relief, but we know that relief is not lasting.
We can measure progress through societal cues that slip and slide with the times.
We can pretend that we are moving in meaningful ways, when in reality, there is no ground beneath us. We're sliding through sand, or on the hamster wheel, running only in place.

On the other hand, we can measure progress in depth.
On the surface, deepening may not look as impressive. We can’t always see what’s happening in the depths of a per...

The Closing of a Cycle

I was recently reminded that this is a 9 year, and we are moving toward its end.

Over the past month, I’ve repeatedly seen an image of myself drawing lines, finishing patterns that I have been working my way through, and out of, coming to a close. And with each ending, I feel lighter, and more free.

Next year, numerologically, is a 1: a clear slate and a fresh start. Whenever I tune into its energy, I sense two strong archetypes - the Fool and the Magician.

While we often associate the Fool with ignorance or missteps, embodying the higher sense of this archetype is actually a place of power. The Fool is often depicted on the edge of a cliff, seemingly about to fall, sometimes with eyes closed, without safety or assurances. But there’s something we often forget: Faith.

Faith is not blind, as the saying goes. Faith requires deep trust. And trust comes through intuition. When we are truly tuned in, and willing to follow that inner sense, we know we are not about to plummet or fall. In...

What have you inherited that is your greatest gift?

Hello Eternal Souls,

I hope you’re feeling the magic of this week—Samhain, Halloween, All Hallows' Eve, Day of the Dead. It’s one of my favorite times of the year, and I’m excited to be attending Edinburgh’s Samhain Fire Festival this evening!

This season always draws my focus to the past. But not my own past—the past of those who came before me. We are the products of lifetimes and generations, carrying an incredible blend of traits, knowledge, talents, memories, perceptions, and lived experiences. It can feel overwhelming to think of everything that has happened to allow us to be here, on this plane, in these forms. We walk as products of time, co-creation, biology, soul connection, and immeasurable earthly and divine influence.

When I feel pessimistic, doubtful, or cynical about my own life or circumstances, I allow my perspective to expand beyond this lifetime—and I remember there is a rhyme and reason to my existence. This brings me peace and a deeper sense of connection.

Are you still trying to prove your worth?

Today, we swim and surf with the Cancer New Moon, a beautiful opportunity to reinvent your identity, to engage your intuition to guide all that you create, and to choose more expansive experiences over the coming season.

I have spent the past few months consuming information around creation, manifesting, and what is required to create change - not only on a mental or emotional level, but within the physical reality too.

The relationship between these has always fascinated and sometimes confused me. Over the years, I've witnessed instant healings, where the body shifts on command. But I have also struggled to open channels to various other aspects within the physical realm. I've explored areas of failure and success, worthiness, proving, striving, allowing, receiving, so many facets that could influence the ability to experience something 'greater' than the current state.

A few weeks ago, I stumbled onto this quote - "I believe you have a responsibility to comport yourself in a manne...

Change your Emotions, or allow them to Change You?

What impact do your emotions have upon you?

Hello beautiful beings, I hope that you are feeling more grounded and graceful as we move towards the Taurus New Moon early Wednesday morning BST. This energy is calling us back to our bodies, minds, emotions, and the humanness within...

Lately, so many of us have been working through facets of identity, opening to surrender, seeking clarity, just about anything and everything to understand the next step. Most of my recent clients also report feeling exhausted, fed up, frustrated, a spectrum of what we would label as 'negative' emotions and feelings.

So much of my own healing process, and the work I do with others has been around resolving old, outdated, conditioned 'stuff'. We've worked to understand the wisdom within them, to take the good from the experiences, and to embody the positive.

And at this point, I feel that my questions are changing, along with my goals. Instead of seeking relief, or another answer that would register on a m...

The Closing of Eclipse Season: Practicing Resurrection

Hello alchemists and travelers! I hope that you have been navigating this eclipse season with grace and gratitude.

The past few weeks have been powerful, and if you have been doing 'the work' along the way, the healing and insights gained will have a profound effect on your world.  Remember, the past 6 weeks have helped us to focus on what we value in our surroundings and daily experiences, as well as the deeper truths that motivate our choices and direction.  These effect our 'real world' choices, in a grounded and tangible way, so avoidance isn't really an option!  (Nor should we wish for it!)

One of the big themes of Scorpio (the eclipse last week) is Death and Endings, which understandably can stir up some tension and fear for those who hold suffering in connection with these.  But I would like to propose a new way of looking at these as we move towards a New Moon in Gemini (which helps us to perceive the world in new ways),...

Are your 'Wounds' creating Conflict or Empathy?

Hello human beings, I hope that you are feeling inspired by the beginning of Spring!  We are at the start of a new month with the energy of a new moon, at the beginning of an astrological new year!  So it sounds like the perfect time for a fresh start, right?

Well, yes, but first...

Energetically, the energy of our essence (the Sun), our emotional and intuitive body (the Moon), the ways we communicate and think (Mercury) will be conjunct/connected in the energy of the Warrior (Aries/Mars)...

So it may feel empowering for these energies to be moving forward, ready to be inspired, seeking passion and direction.  But if we haven't identified a path or direction that will keep that fire burning through healthy alignment, the fire could either go out, we could burn out, or 'burn' those around us, in an attempt to keep the excitement alive.

AND, all of this energy will be sitting with Chiron, the Wounded Healer.  We are each born into the world, divine and whole, and navigate th...

Are you able to cultivate new Hope?

Hello human beings, I hope you are enjoying the lightness of this New Moon!  I always feel a little bit lucky and lighter around a new moon, but this one in particular has some 'magic' to it.  Not magic in a flighty, insincere way.  It has a deep, grounded, tangible, presence...

We entered into Aquarius Season over a week ago, and with the shift in energy, I have been feeling more HOPE.

Hope hasn't always felt tangible over the past few years.  There has been a lot of change, delay, and uncertainty, which over a prolonged period of time, can begin to wear away the shine.

But it is at these times that Hope is really learned.  It is through practice of active hope that we really are able to embody this powerful virtue.

Hope is not a passing fancy, a lazy wish.  Hope is not indecision.  It is not illusion, or an attempt to fool ourselves (though we often try to use it in this way).

Hope is an active, empowered focus towards the future, into the truth of the consequences of what we...

How do you rationalise your Indecision?

There is currently a funny mix in the cosmos: lots of moving cardinal earth in Capricorn, a lot of energy in fixed air Aquarius, and Mercury Retrograde moving the air backwards, and Venus is finishing its retrograde, drawing the heart into the past.  So a fascinating mix of walking forward while your mind loops back into where it gets stuck, with your heart trying to mend old wounds and attempting to re-write stories.  Its weird.  But not bad.  I find that whenever we move into energy that is this disruptive, where one moves against or around another, it can often aid in shifting what we have most stubbornly held.  Amen to liberation!

As we are working with a lot of Air right now, I wanted to explore thought, the mind, the way we process information, choice, cause and effect...

The mind is a fascinating thing to behold.  Thoughts come and go, leading from one to another.  When we look back upon them, we can see the 'logic' of how one leads to another.  But it is also unpredictable...

What are you willing to Surrender, to begin anew?

Today marks the end of a year, tomorrow we move into another...

While having a clear focus on what you want to do and where you want to go is important, the real first step is to surrender the obstacles that impede flow into the new.

Today, spend some time in meditation, reflect on the past year, and identify what you are willing to burn, purge, to liberate from your energy

* What am I willing to surrender within my mind?: identities, roles, obligations, conversations, beliefs, projections

* What am I willing to surrender within my heart?: heartache, suffering, barriers, anger, fear, sorrow

* What am I willing to surrender in my surroundings?: clutter, superstition, the 'old me', obligation, the past

* What am I willing to surrender in my body?: pain, illness, disorder, control, weakness

* What am I willing to surrender in my relationships?: fear, projection, conflict, untruth, disappointment, fear

* What else am I willing to surrender that will not serve me ...
