There are periods of life that seem to flip us, our mindsets and trajectories. We feel ungrounded and unbridled, our common ways of moving no longer support us or facilitate momentum in ways they have before. These times are our best indication of change coming, an evolution of spirit and being.
Our human forms and patterns are part of an illusion that we are fixed or constant. We believe that we are these tangible, sensible beings, and that life is the same. Our skin, scars, physicalness is witnessed every day, the same thoughts and beliefs are present, our surroundings consistently reinforcing the feeling that we remain constant, fixed. Often times our perceived changes occur on a more subtle level, taking time, energy, space to occur. But internally, we are constantly changing. Our cells divide, work, die. We breathe, moving air within. Our heart pumps, moving blood through the body. Our nervous systems send...
Happy January and Happy New Year! I hope that your start to 2021 has been graceful and fun!
At this moment, both the Sun and the Moon are sitting in Capricorn (along with Venus and Pluto, there's a lot happening!). Because there is so much happening in this earthy sign, I wanted to take a moment to share some insight, to support you over the next week or so.
As we move around the zodiac, we more towards experience and wisdom, which is exactly what Capricorn embodies. Think of Capricorn as Grandmother/Grandfather energy, embodying the knowledge of experience and learning over vast periods of time, and the patience and compassion of one who has experienced or witnessed hardship. There is patience and understanding in every choice that is made, a willingness to deepen.
Capricorn is also a Cardinal sign, meaning it is willing to be initiated to new ways of living and being, new insight and knowledge, with the capacity to evolve. The symbol is the...
The week between Christmas and New Year is always one of my favourite weeks of the year. I spend time reflecting on what I have done, all that I've worked towards, what I have accomplished, and what is still evolving.
As this year has been so unique, I am finding that the usual questions I ask myself do not apply as much as they normally would. This year has been a year of meditation, introspection, of pivoting, and being more creative and inventive. We have been given opportunities to change focus, to flow in new directions, and to shake up the paths we have followed so that we can perhaps find another. As I spend time looking back at 2020, I am reminded of all that I have accomplished, mostly in ways that were not predicted or planned for.
My highlights include a trip to Cambodia to visit the school I had helped to build. I started the new year in Cambodia and Bali, two magical, beautiful, delicious...
Over the past weeks (especially during this eclipse season) I've witnessed layers and layers falling away. Old ideas and identities have not held up, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to shed them!
One common issue that I have witnessed repeatedly in sessions and courses, is a feeling of heavy burden and obligation what can weigh life down. And nearly all of it is attached to old roles and identities, and ways of living that no longer align.
We are energetically carrying the false identities of who we 'used to be', wondering why we are exhausted, confused about the load we carry!
"Oh what we could be if we stopped carrying the remains of who we were" -Tyler Knott Gregson (one of my favourite poets, here's his website!)
Our feelings of burden and exhaustion are clear indicators that we are limiting ourselves with obligation, promises to be a certain way, when we know it is not authentic, it is not true. ...
Happy Sunday! I hope you are enjoying this Quarter Moon in Pisces, which invites us to play in the energy of the unknown, in possibility and opportunity!
I spent this week reconnecting with my inner child, remembering the simple ways to have fun in my life. So I've been doing a lot of singing and dancing, some art, writing, and reading. I've been asking my imagination to expand, along with my intuition, so that I can dream beyond my comfort zone and my knowing mind. Needless to say, this week has been lighter and brighter than previous weeks! It is amazing to witness what shifts when the decision is made to change focus and activity!
I was co-running an event a few weeks ago, speaking to a group about the power of initiation. And in real time, I was offered an opportunity to navigate one myself. An aura migraine was triggered, which not only effected my vision, but also my speech. While the timing was terrible, I can see that what...

Hello beautiful beings! I just wanted to send a bit of information today about the power of initiation and embodied living. October promises to be the most transformational month of 2020, which we can either fight against, or learn to harness the power for our benefit.
The initiation process can be a bumpy ride, to say the least. We can often feel tossed into the abyss, without light or guidance to navigate the change. But there are things that we can do to bring form into the formless, to give some foundation and direction. Here are a few of the best I've found:
1. Set your non-negotiable priorities and follow them! This involves you deciding what really has value in your life (including possessions, experiences, relationships, quality of life, etc), and saying No to what doesn't align, and a big Hell Yes to what does! If you do not choose what you want, you'll get to experience anything and everything that the universe has on...
We are moving towards an amazing New Moon in Virgo. I wanted to break this down a bit so that you can take full advantage of the magic we're immersed in this week!
First, the New Moon... I see it as tabula rasa, a clean slate. Take a moment to feel into the energy of a clean slate, a new beginning. Feel the calm, the quiet, a sense of peace.
The New Moon is dark, without light. For some, this can feel unnerving, with an inability to see what is coming, what we are moving towards. But in the darkness, the past is erased, there is no set path to follow, nothing to fulfill. You are there in the quiet, within your heart, fully present. And fully open to possibility.
In the few days surrounding the New Moon, we plant seeds for the coming weeks and beyond. We are able to make decisions regarding the experiences we would like to have, the ways we want to feel, and the quality of life that we want to live.
Close your...
As our fears and pain are triggered, we are tempted to lash out, to criticize, and to judge the acts that have contributed to our discomfort. We rant about injustice, we shout at ignorance, we fight aggression. This course of action may provide temporary relief, allowing us to feel, momentarily, that we are 'better' than those who create suffering, superior in comparison.
But as we wage war against war, we feed it.
As we cut through the words of another, we cut ourselves.
We are each natural communicators, through our words, our actions, and our choices. We express ourselves in infinite ways, through our bodies, our minds, and through what we create in our daily lives. But we often view our communication as our own, within a bubble, limiting its reach, and in what we receive.
True, honest communication is Communion. It is a tribal sharing, a giving and receiving, a way to understand and...
